Snacks and lunch

We provide a healthly snack of different fruit every morning and afternoon.

we ask that you provide a packed lunch for your child if they are attending between 12-1.

Fees

The cost per hour is £6.00 for aged 3 – 4 year olds and £6.25 for 2 year olds.

For example: a morning session (3hrs) for a 2 year old will cost £18.75 and a full day (6hrs) for aged 3 and above will cost £36.00. However please be aware that Nursery Education Funding (NEF) is available to all, from the term following your child’s 3rd birthday and for working parents of 2 year olds ( this is means tested).

Your child has an allowance of 15 hours per week funding, applied flexibly across days. To apply for the government funding, we will provide you with the necessary forms to sign and declare if you are in receipt of NEF from any other pre-school setting.

All children receive 15 hours of childcare for funding the term after they turn 3.

30 hours childcare for eligible working families in England

For children aged 9 months to 4 years.

From September 2025, 15 hours for eligible working families will expand to 30 hours, meaning eligible working parents can now apply for 30 hours of childcare from the term after their child turns 9 months, until they start school.

If you currently receive 15 hours for working families, just reconfirm as usual and the code will work for the 30 hours offer in September, providing you remain eligible and your provider has confirmed your new attendance pattern for your increased hours.

Policies

Dilwyn Playgroup has a set of policies and procedures, which explain the guidelines that staff work to, and how and why we do things.

These policies have been recently reviewed and we aim to review them annually (or more frequently if required) so your comments and suggestions are always welcomed! All amendments and changes to policies are detailed in the newsletters.

Policies are approved at committee meetings with contributions welcomed from both parents and the staff. All our policies and procedures are available to read at Playgroup (kept in a white file on the windowsill in the entrance cloakroom) personal copies are available on request.
