Children learn through play. It is the most important tool that they have for making sense of the world and for developing skills to deal with it. Play helps them to acquire knowledge, learn how to interact with others, to increase language and the ability to communicate, and how to grow and develop their own identity.
Dilwyn Playgroup aims to provide an environment in which children can achieve these most vital of skills.
This is our daily routine, used as a guideline as we aim to follow the children's needs and interests, so the following times may change.

10.20 – 10.30 Tidy up

11.25 – 12.00 Outside play

1.00 – 2.30 Activities / Free play

Dilwyn Playgroup has a set of policies and procedures, which explain the guidelines that staff work to, and how and why we do things. These policies have been recently reviewed and we aim to review them annually (or more frequently if required) so your comments and suggestions are always welcomed! All amendments and changes to policies are detailed in the newsletters. Policies are approved at committee meetings with contributions welcomed from both parents and the staff. All our policies and procedures are available to read at Playgroup (kept in a white file and left on the signing in tables) and personal copies are available on request.
We have an experienced, qualified and caring team of staff to look after your children. A minimum of two members of staff attend each session.
